Robert Bohannon is not an acrobat, but yesterday at Central Catholic High School he sure acted like one as he climbed a 24-foot ladder while holding a 70-pound window. Bohannon was installing a stained-glass window depicting the annunciation of Jesus. The windows were restored, releaded, and the wood frames were painted on both the interior and exterior. All the glass was saved and odd colored pieces were replaced to match the original color palette.

Protect Your Stained Glass Windows and Save Energy Costs
Just think how wonderful it would be if your stained glass windows simply stayed in pristine condition once they were installed or recently maintained. That would mean little heat or air conditioning loss through them, no vandalism, or element damage. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen and that is why you need to preserve them by properly installing protective glazing. PROPERLY is the key word. Improper installation can create more damage than protection.

Saving the Past to Beautify the Future
In many areas of the United States, declining memberships in congregations has led to the closing of many religious institutions. At the same time, churches in other areas have been rapidly expanding and building to accommodate growing church memberships. For over 35 years John Phillips, Sr., of Associated Crafts, has witnessed this phenomenon from the unique perspective of a stained glass expert.
